[ On the morning of the 25th, Akechi might wake up to find a parcel on his doorstep which reads "To Akechi, From Aziraphale." Inside contains a notebook that has been recently rebound in leather. It's soft and supple. ]
[For someone who hasn't really celebrated Christmas (or any holidays for that matter), finding the parcel as he was able to head downstairs was a surprise to him. Picking it up and heading inside, he looked it over while reading the note. He couldn't help but be taken aback by his gesture. He knew that around Christmas time, gifts were sometimes given out, but he'd never gave any or received them himself.
Carefully opening the gift up, he set the wrapping down on his table for the time being while he examined the contents. It was a pretty nice notebook and he appreciated that it was leather. Perhaps one of the first gifts he'd received in what felt like a lifetime and once again he's speechless as to how to react to it. It was a nice gesture, but certainly not one he was used to. He'd already been through a whole spiel with Midge earlier in the month when she came over with food, but his usual perception of adults was being tested; Do angels count? And if they did, he was certainly the wrong person to approach when he was better suited as a demon at this point really.
He should say something to him... So sometime after discovering his gift, he'll get a text.]
Thank you for the gift, Aziraphale. It wasn't necessary or anything. [He may say that, but he's not saying he doesn't like it.]
[ Happy holidays! There's a little box of homemade cookies for Akechi even though Midge doesn't celebrate Christmas. She figures the cheer will be needed. There's a note attached: ]
Akechi, Be sure to dip these cookies into coffee, that's when they're the best. Enjoy! -Miriam
[Of all the people to give him something for Christmas, at least Midge was more likely to do so. It still catches him by surprise to see the box of cookies. After a moment, he took out his tablet to send a message back to her.]
Thank you, Maisel-san. I appreciate the cookies.
[It was a short message, but he wasn't very good at this kind of stuff. If anyone here knew that, Midge was the most likely person to realize that. First Aziraphale and then Midge. This was certainly strange to him.]

Dear Akechi, Very sorry for the personal nature of this inquiry, but I have not recently seen your friend that I had met in the mines. Are they alright? I thought this manner of correspondence more secure than the network. Warm Wishes, Aziraphale. ]
[His friend? He knew Molly, so he must have meant his Persona. It's not like they had a chance to really talk about it, did they?]
Dear Aziraphale, I can understand your caution. You don't need to worry about Robin Hood. I'm just glad that the spirits tried to go after him over directly to me. He can't be injured like that, so he sustained no damage.
Sincerely, Goro Akechi
[If he's talking about someone else, he'll have to elaborate.]

[ when akechi is returning to the invincible and approaching his room to enter it, he'll notice a small spirit waiting out the door. they perk up upon seeing him, wriggling in excitement as they chitter and coo something towards him. with that, combined with the scratching at akechi's door, it seems the spirit wants to be let inside his room.
if akechi shoos the spirit away, the spirit will deflate and make a sad warbling sound and begin to... sniffle? it will then skitter off, making sound crying sounds as it hurries away.
if he akechi lets the spirit in, the spirit excitedly dashes in the moment there's so much as crack, scurrying about the room, jumping up and down to get a better look of things, and then it runs out of the room and out of sight.
all-in-all, it's a very strange encounter. even for spirit standards. ]
[He'll show up a short while later, with a small present, wrapped in very colorful paper. He figures it wouldn't be Akechi's taste, but he did want to do it anyway, as a sort of 'present for presents you missed out' type of thing.
Knock, knock, knock. When Akechi opens, he'll put the present in his hands.]
[When he opened the door he wasn't expecting to have a present handed over to him. He blankly stared at him for a moment and then to the present. Taste or not, this was something he was used to. Getting any kind of positive support or anybody to celebrate any holiday with him really. Glancing at him confused...]
How did you know it was my birthday? [That prompts the more important question.] Why? It wasn't necessary. I don't celebrate my birthday anyway. It's just another day where I get older.
[But despite what he's saying, deep down it is touching. As unusual as this was for him, he did appreciate it.]
What, you really think you were the only one who snooped?
[He had Futaba on his side, after all. The only thing he regrets is not knowing Shido was his father. That would have changed their dynamic so much more...but that was some time ago.]
Don't worry, I made sure the present wasn't as flashy as the paper. Should I call it your get-older present then?
[Inside, he would find a pair of new gloves, and tickets to an aquarium. Nothing really fancy, really. Something useful and something educational.]
... Right. You do have Sakura-san to turn to for information.
[That made a lot of sense, but to care when his birthday was was a different matter entirely. Scuffing lightly to the "get-older" comment, he opened the present. Gloves. It was something he used, but there was something so entertaining about it. And then the tickets.]

Dear Akechi,
I am glad to hear it. I hope to be able to see the two of you soon.
Sincerely,
Aziraphale. ]
These are wonderful~
As far as Robin Hood goes, hopefully he wouldn't be necessary, but you know where to find me if you ever need something from me.
Sincerely,
Goro Akechi.
